The average summer temperature is 84 degrees with the average winter temperature in the 40s.

Towns County enjoys one of the lowest tax rates in the state of Georgia. The population of the county is approximately 9,000.

Brasstown Bald Mountain, the highest peak in Georgia (4,784 ft.) allows a 360 degree view of the county, as well as several other states.
